Brad Walker reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One loss against Fleetwood Town.
Shrewsbury Town were unable to find a return to winning ways with the visit of Fleetwood Town as the away side left Montgomery Waters Meadow with a 2-0 win.
A goal in each half from the Cod Army proved to be fatal as Simon Grayson's team left Shropshire with all three points secured.
Town midfielder Brad Walker was disappointed to have lost the game and feels Town have many areas to improve on in the coming fixture with Rochdale AFC.
On the result:
"We are very disappointed. I don’t think we deserved anything from the game. The standards were not where we wanted them and credit to Fleetwood they had a game plan and they stuck to it really well.
“In the first half, we were didn't get near to our usual standards. The goal before half-time kills us. Halfway through the second half, we give away the second goal and that left us chasing.
“Every time the team has had a dip in form over the last few months, they have reacted really well. We have another game Tuesday and we have got to put it right."
On his return from injury since December:
“I’m delighted to be back out there. I have worked really hard to try and get as fit as I can. The injury was a bit of nightmare, but you get setbacks and it’s how you come back from them.
“I will play wherever I need to play. Today I came on at right-back and I just tried to help the team. I got through the game with no more setbacks, so now I just have to prepare for Tuesday.
“Ollie Norburn and Josh Vela have been playing in there and doing really well. The backline has been fantastic, we just have to bounce back now and that starts Tuesday - we have to start a new run”.
"This is what this league does, it gives you a chance to bounce back as soon as you can and the games come thick and fast."
