Curtis Main reflects on Town's win over Burton Albion

Curtis Main reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One away win over Burton Albion.

Shrewsbury Town's evening at the Pirelli Stadium ended with Steve Cotterill's men taking all three points back to Shropshire.

A goal in each half for Curtis Main and Harry Chapman was the difference between the two sides despite the home side pulling a goal back.

Main was delighted to be on the scoresheet but was more thrilled that Town were able to leave Burton with all three points in the bag.

On the result:

"It wasn't a great game but it wasn't easy. Everyone had to dig in, especially in the second-half and just defend the box. They threw everything at us, they threw the ball in long numerous times. To get the three points on the road is obviously fantastic. I know they've been on a good run. We came here and did a fantastic job.

"I don't know what the confusion is with the goal. Nathanael's cross took a deflection, the keeper and the defender were caught in no man's land and I nipped across the front post to glance the ball over the keeper's head. Maybe it looks different on the camera but it's certainly my goal.

"For the second goal, Nat did really well again. I ran across the front post and the ball ended up going over my shoulder and towards the back post. Harry's half-volley/shin-roller sliced into the bottom corner. It was actually a great finish and it was good to see it go in.

"The two-goal cushion helped us. I know we conceded shortly after but we reset and saw the game out well. I probably spent more time in our 18-yard box than theirs. They threw a lot at us but that's what you expect when you come here. We were well prepared and we are happy with the three points."
