Ethan Ebanks-Landell previews Town's Sky Bet League One home fixture with Portsmouth.

Shrewsbury Town return to Montgomery Waters Meadow this weekend as Steve Cotterill's men welcome Portsmouth to Shropshire.

Salop will be full of confidence going into the tie after securing all three points against Burton Albion away from home last time out.

Town defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell feels confident ahead of the tie and feels Town's good form can continue with the visit of Pompey.

On the squad bouncing back from tough results:

“The squad has real confidence at the moment, even though the Gaffer isn't here. He has done a really good job at keeping us even-keeled and taking it game by game. It's good to always have confidence, you can see a big difference when a player or team doesn’t have it.

"I’m quite a confident person both on and off the pitch - no results make a difference to me. It’s been weird we don’t have fans, we don’t have our manager but it’s another obstacle to overcome and we have done that.

"For me, I prefer busy schedules because that’s what we get paid for. We get paid to show what we can do on a match-day. I feel good and I can’t wait for the game on Saturday. Keeping a clean sheet will always be better than a goal.

On what to expect from Portsmouth:

“Every game in this league is similar. Pompey will try and play but also go direct so I’m sure they will have a nice mix of both.

“Managers maybe don’t get the time they deserve nowadays so it's part and parcel in this league to come up against a team with a new manager. I always believe that we are going to win if we take on board what the Gaffer, and what the coaches put across during the week - we always give ourselves the best chance."
