Harry Chapman previews Town's fixture with Northampton Town

31 March 2021

Harry Chapman previews Town's Sky Bet League One away fixture with Northampton Town.

Shrewsbury Town are back on the road this week as Steve Cotterill's men travel to Sixfields Stadium to take on Northampton Town.

Salop will be looking to bounce back to winning ways with the Sky Bet League One fixture against Jon Brady's men following on from a narrow defeat against Portsmouth.

Town forward Harry Chapman is looking forward to another fixture and hopes to see Town start another positive run of results.

On Town's free week:

"We have been coping fine with the schedule. The games come thick and fast in League One, especially with the delayed start. We have a big squad and the manager has rotated to keep everything fresh.

"If we have dips, we bounce back very well and you can see that in the results. Portsmouth are one of the best teams in the league but we know we can perform better and offer more.

"This week of training has come at a perfect time. This week will allow us to reset and get ready physically and mentally for the next game. I have had my ups and downs but I feel good."

On Northampton:

"I know they're a tough team to break down and very solid. I think it will be another game where we have to beat a deep block. Hopefully we can dominate the ball and create chances.

"I think our strengths lie in transition. With the midfield we have, we nick the ball from opposition teams well. We work well down the side with Nathanael, Josh Daniels or whoever is playing there."
