Aaron Pierre reflects on Town's Sky Bet League 0-0 draw with Ipswich Town.

Shrewsbury Town welcomed Ipswich Town to Montgomery Waters Meador for Town's last Sky Bet League One home fixture.

Despite a strongly contested fixture, neither outfit were able to break the deadlock as the points were shared after a 0-0 finish.

Town defender Aaron Pierre was pleased Town were able to keep a clean sheet against the Tractor Boys but was left frustrated that Town didn't pick up all three points.

On the result:

“I think a point overall is a good result but I think we could have snuck in near the end and got the three points with the good chances we created.
“Dan Udoh just hitting the crossbar looked like we were going to get three points. As long as we kept a clean sheet and gave a good account of ourself that’s the main thing.

“It has been a hard season. We are safe that’s the most important thing, overall, we have come out positively and next season we go again and we try and improve all the time and do the best we can."

On the overall team performance:

“It was good. I feel we were in the game. It was an end-to-end game and we created chances. Unfortunately, we weren't clinical and couldn't get that goal. At the end of the day, we kept a clean sheet and that’s the main thing.

“It's always good to keep a clean sheet as a defender, that’s your number one priority and if you do that, the minimum you get from the game is a point."
