Aaron Wilbraham previews Town's fixture with Sunderland AFC

Aaron Wilbraham previews Town's Sky Bet League One home fixture with Sunderland AFC.

Shrewsbury Town's Sky Bet League One campaign sees Salop return to Montgomery Waters Meadow for the first of two consecutive home fixtures.

Steve Cotterill's men welcome Sunderland AFC to Shropshire tomorrow evening but will be hoping to build on this season's positive home form with the visit of the Black Cats.

Town Assistant Manager Aaron Wilbraham expects a stern test from the away side but hopes to see Salop secure all three points.

On the fixture:

"We are hoping to build on the performance from Saturday. We were really on top early on and the sending off killed us. We were unlucky not to have got something from the game and it was frustrating. We mentioned right after the game that we'd take the positives into the game with Sunderland - we played well and the character was there.

"The support on Saturday was class, right from the warm-ups. It really gives the lads a lift and they stayed with us all game. Back at home now with the two games and hopefully the crowd will get behind the lads and fire them up ready to perform.

"Sunderland have had some good results this season. They're a good team with some good individuals. We'll definitely have to be on our guard when we face them tomorrow evening. The lads go into every game with the same mentality wanting to win. The next two games at home won't be any different. Our home form has been decent and we want to continue that.

"Everyone is all good. A Monday after a Saturday is always a similar routine. We get our preparation done for a quick turn around but the lads are fine. There's a couple of issues that we'll have to wait and see about."
