Josh Vela reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One home win over Charlton Athletic
Shrewsbury Town's second consecutive home game came to a conclusion with Salop earning a last-gasp three points.
Scoring his third goal in as many games, Dan Udoh stepped up for Town to find the winner in the 93rd minute.
Town's number 10 Josh Vela was delighted with the win and felt Salop deserved all three points over the away side.
On the fixture:
"We are all buzzing with the win after a tough week. We got a positive result on Tuesday night but we wanted to make sure we got three points in this game. We put in a good performance. I thought we started the game well and then they came into it. Charlton have some good individual players but we dug in and our team spirit shone through with the last-minute goal at the end.
"Earlier in the season we were conceding goals early and giving ourselves mountains to climb. Now the season has moved on a bit, we are starting to dig deep and not concede the first goal. The main thing is sticking together as a team, getting results and climbing up the league table.
"Dan is on fire at the moment and we are buzzing for him because he's a top lad. He works so hard for the team and he's getting his rewards for that now. There's nothing better than a last-minute winner. You can't not like Udoh, he's a top lad. I love him and I'm buzzing he's getting his goals.
"We are a bit stretched at the minute with injuries and suspensions but we all stick together. You could see at the end with the celebrations that we're all sticking together. The staff, the fans and the players are all together.
"It's been a really good week and we needed a win to back up our result against Sunderland. On Tuesday we had 10 men for a large part of the game but we all dug in and got the point. We've started to get results and we want to move up that table and push on."
