Luke Leahy reflects on Town's draw with Lincoln City

Luke Leahy reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One 1-1 draw with Lincoln City away from home.

Shrewsbury Town's afternoon at Sincil Bank ended with Steve Cotterill's men returning to Shropshire with a point.

Despite Salop conceding the opening goal, Town battled back to earn a point thanks to a headed effort from Luke Leahy.

Town's wing-back was pleased to have contributed a goal but was left disappointed to not have taken all three points back home.

On the result:

"It was a very difficult game in terms of second balls and both teams constantly attacking. We came away with a point but it was a slightly disappointed dressing room because we should have had all three points. We are happy with the point but this team is growing and getting stronger every week.

"They have a lot of rotations in midfield and it took us a while to get to grips with that. We showed again that we can be a strong team in this league and it should have been three points today.

"For their goal, if you don't stop the cross you're allowing their players to run onto the ball. Our defenders were static in defending it but we showed great character to get back into it. When they scored, we got better. We spoke at half time about the things we need to do and the level we need to maintain. We came out for the second half very well and I managed to get my head on the ball for the goal.

"Hopefully I can keep getting on the end of things. It would have been much better if we'd won today but I'm always happy to contribute. I have to keep going and I can't stop there. If I score I'm happy, but if I don't and we win, it's even better.
