Steve Cotterill previews Town's Sky Bet League One home fixture with AFC Wimbledon.

Shrewsbury Town next Sky Bet League One fixture sees Steve Cotterill's men welcome AFC Wimbledon to Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Following Town's draw with Sheffield Wednesday last time out, Salop will be looking to go one better with the visit of the Dons in order to secure three points.

Town's Manager Steve Cotterill expects a stern test from the away side but is hopes to see Town build on two games unbeaten.

On Town's preparation:

"These free midweeks are more about recovery for the lads. When you have a clear week, it does give you time to build on top of the work you have already been doing. At the end of the day, we play too many games in our country and then we always wonder why we're all tired when it comes to major tournaments.

"Wimbledon have been very good this season. They're very energetic, have good work ethic and they play with good intensity. They have good team spirit by the look of them and they're very good on set-plays; that's something we need to make sure we're good at this weekend. We have to negate that at the weekend because they are very good at them. We've tapped on those things today, and we'll be tapping on them again tomorrow.

"They did well to get through the other rounds of the competition and I'm sure playing at the Emirates was brilliant for them. The goals came late in the day and the first was a penalty. Without having watched the whole game back, they look like they played very well."

Squad news:

"Rekeil is ok and he was back with us this morning. He's ok but we will monitor him over the next few days. We'll need to do some work with Rekeil to get him back up to speed having missed 10 days. He hasn't done much training during that time but we are glad to have him back. Everyone else is fine for the weekend."
