Steve Cotterill previews Town's clash with Sheffield Wednesday

Steve Cotterill previews Town's Sky Bet League One away clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

Shrewsbury Town's next Sky Bet League One fixture sees Steve Cotterill's men travel to the Hillsborough Stadium to take on Sheffield Wednesday.

Salop will be looking to build on their last result having drawn 1-1 with David Artell's Crewe Alexandra at Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Town's manager is expecting a stern test from the Owls but hopes to see Salop build on the point gained in the last league outing.

On Sheffield Wednesday:

"Sheffield Wednesday is a huge club and arguably the biggest in the division. The quality of players they have is very, very good and they have a good manager in Darren Moore. He will have awkward decisions to make this season because he's got an embarrassment of riches in certian positions. Sometimes that can make things more difficult.

"Their football has been indifferent this season because Darren hasn't been there long enough yet. If you look at his Doncaster teams, you will certainly see a passing style of football and I think that's what he will try to implement with his players at Sheffield Wednesday.

"I've seen some of those things from watching their games in the lead-up to our competition. We've seen them try to play possesion-based football and I'm sure they will be looking to improve on their last couple of results. Our lads have trained very well, we never have any issues with our lads in training.

"With our phases of play, we need to make sure we don't make too many bad decisions in the same phase of play. That's happened a few times this season and that can result in a goal. You can sometimes get away with one mistake, maybe two but you won't get away with three or four."

Squad news:

"Everyone is ok, other than Rekeil Pyke. He tested positive for Covid-19 and will be away from the squad for 10 days."
