Nathanael Ogbeta joins Swansea City for an undisclosed fee

31 January 2022

Shrewsbury Town can confirm that Nathanael Ogbeta has joined Swansea City for an undisclosed fee.

Nat joined Town one year ago from Manchester City's academy and has barely missed a game since. The 20-year-old left-sided player has made 58 appearances for Salop during his time at the club, missing just four games since his arrival on January 25th, 2021.

He won the Young Player of the Year award at the end of last season following an impressive 25 starts, seven clean sheets, and two goals in his first six months with the club. This season, Nat continued his fine form, playing 33 times and keeping seven more clean sheets as a left-wing back.

The youngster also created eight assists in his time at Town, including one at Anfield after picking out Dan Udoh with a perfect cross for the goal that gave Salop the lead against the European giants.

We would like to thank Nat for his hard work and dedication while at Shrewsbury Town and wish him all the best in the Sky Bet Championship with Swansea City.
