Match Preview | Morecambe

15 March 2022

Following Saturday’s narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Oxford United, Shrewsbury Town return to Montgomery Waters Meadow tonight to face Morecambe.

Salop were originally supposed to host Morecambe at the Meadow last month, but due to a waterlogged pitch, the game was called off a couple of hours before kick-off.

Steve Cotterill will be looking for a positive reaction from his side after Saturday’s defeat, against a team who are struggling in Sky Bet League One and are without a win since January 22nd.

Morecambe are currently 22nd in the league table but are, however, only a point from safety. After gaining promotion from League Two last season for the first time in their history, Derek Adams is hoping his side can put a few good results together in the final nine games of the season in their bid to escape relegation
