Shrewsbury Town Women are seeking part-time staff to join our medical team to provide physiotherapy services at evening training sessions and all matches.
Successful applicants will be required to work several evening training sessions in the week with the opportunity to cover women’s games on weeknights and on Sunday mornings. This is a perfect opportunity for physiotherapists looking to work in sport.
Ladies’ training sessions and home matches take place on the Community Pitch next to Montgomery Waters Meadow. The successful applicant will be provided with training kit and medical supplies. There is an opportunity for Continued Professional Development (CPD) with our full-time medical staff.
Duties:
- Provide pitch-side first aid when required for matches and training sessions.
- Carry out on pitch and pitch-side assessment and deliver treatment to injured players
- To provide rehabilitation for injured players at injury clinics held by the club during training times.
- To familiarise themselves with the emergency action plans in place for matches/training sessions whether this is at Shrewsbury Town FC or an away venue.
Requirements:
- Member of the CSP/HCPC or registered sports therapist
- In-date Emergency First Aid in Football qualification
- DBS check
Desirable qualifications:
- ITMMiF/IFAS qualification in-date
- FA safeguarding children certificate
- Previous experience working within a young sporting environment.
