We will be showcasing the work of the Shrewsbury Town Foundation at our game against Portsmouth tomorrow.
A host of events are taking place at Montgomery Waters Meadow to give people an insight into the charity and the work it does in the community.
Activities taking place include a memorial match for well-known Town fan Glyn Price who sadly passed away in November. Glyn founded the Salopcast podcast and ran the Blue and Amber Fanzine.
The Memorial Match will take place at 10am on Community Pitch at the back of the Salop Leisure Stand, this will then be followed by a ShrewsAbility Fun Run at 10:30am inside the stadium.
Back on the 3G pitch there’s going to be an under-nines matchday festival at midday and a tag rugby match.
At the game itself, five young fans will be part of a ‘kids takeover team’ where they’ll be helping staff at the club with their day to day roles.
Youngsters will be helping the kitman and the ground staff as well as the media team and matchday announcers.
The roles are assigned as followed: Charlie (kitman), Izzy (matchday announcer), Theo (matchday announcer), James (media executive) and Tyler (groundsperson).
