We caught up with Michael Parker and asked him some random questions to get to know him a little bit more.
Do you watch much football away from work?
I watch everything! A lot of Premier League and whatever else happens to be on.
Who in the squad is the funniest?
It’s either Tom Flanagan or Ando (Joe Anderson). Flanno is dead serious on the pitch but off it he’s hilarious. I don’t think many people will say Ando but I think he’s just a really funny character.
What other sports do you like playing?
I like Basketball and I also played a bit of Gaelic Football from the age of about 12-15. Three of my teachers were Irish and they made us play it at school.
What do you do away from football?
I’m quite young so I still like video games. I’m on FIFA a lot and play Call of Duty as well.
Who is the most famous person in your phone contacts?
Michael Hefele. He’s a former pro who used to be one of my coaches at Huddersfield and we have a really good relationship with each other.
Is there an activity you’d really like to try out?
Off the top of my head, I’ll say bungee jumping. A rollercoaster is probably the thing that gave me the most adrenaline apart from football so far.
Who in the squad would make the best and worst son-in-law?
Well, he’s staff but I think Skitty would treat my daughter right. The worst has to be Tunmise.
What restaurants or cafes do you like going to?
Basic but Nandos or Five Guys. I don’t have them very often though.
What is the best and worst stadium you’ve played at?
For the best I have to say the Croud Meadow. The worst is easy and it’s Doncaster. The pitch was hard to play on and the advertising boards are so close to you that I thought if I ran too fast and went into them, I’d get injured.
