Shrewsbury Town players Ryan Bowman, Elliott Bennett and Tom Flanagan visited the foundation's Soccer Schools and HAF Programme earlier this week.
As part of a wide range of first-team player appearances at foundation events and community projects over the festive period, the three footballers made their way to the Croud Meadow to take part in our soccer schools and the HAF Programme.
The Holiday, Activity and Food Programme (HAF) is in operation in Shrewsbury, Much Wenlock and Ludlow and aims to provide youngsters with free activities and food throughout the school break.
Funded by Shropshire Council, the HAF programme allows children in receipt of free school meals in the county to gain access to multi-sport activities while they also receive a hot nutritious meal each day.
On this occasion, thanks to your wonderful donations, Ryan, Elliott and Tom helped the children wrap presents for their parents who might otherwise have gone without this Christmas.
They then supervised a soccer schools session too, passing on their wisdom to the children taking part in the session.
