Shrewsbury Town Foundation’s disability football sessions have hit new heights following their most successful ever week.
In what was a busy seven days of football, things kicked off with 17 players from our 16+ PAN sessions heading to Telford College to take part in a round of fixtures in the Shropshire FA Ability Counts League.
With such a great turn out, Shrewsbury PAN were able to field two teams.
The rest of the week saw 59 disability participants attend five sessions across Shrewsbury and Ludlow and an additional 32 players under the age of 16 attend a weekly session.
But it didn’t stop there! Over 24 individuals attended the foundation’s matchday activities, with eight attending short breaks we run in partnership with Actio and 16 attending adult activities we run in partnership with Aspirations.
The disability provision that Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation provide is vital for our community and we’re delighted to celebrate these successes.
