Shrewsbury Town Kit Launch | Inspired By History - Built for Today.

21 July 2023

It's 50 years since Graham Turner first joined Shrewsbury Town.

So in honour of the club legend, we joined forces with Umbro to create a kit with a nod to the 1970s for the 2023/24 campaign.

The retro design is similar to shirts worn by Graham throughout the decade and is one we hope fans will love.

Graham joined Town as a player in 1973 and went on to make more than 350 league appearances.

He became manager in 1978 with the team going on to be crowned Third Division champions that year.

His first spell as boss came to an end in 1984. But 26 years later he returned and went on to guide us to promotion from League Two in 2012.

The shirt retails for £46 for an adult shirt or £36 for a junior shirt. It will also be available in our new club shop when that opens soon.

Graham was joined at the launch of our new kit by men's first-team players Dan Udoh, Morgan Feeney and Travis Hernes as well as women's players Maddie Jones, Anna France and Grace Layton.

Morris Property also attended the photoshoot with the Shropshire-based developers our new front-of-shirt sponsor for next season.

Morris employee Becky Lucas and her son Harry Pugh were also the first fans to get their hands on a new shirt - with Harry overjoyed to get the top and meet his favourite player, Dan Udoh.
