Shrewsbury Town have joined the new social media platform, Threads - run by Meta.

Linked closely to the club's Instagram account, Threads is a Twitter-style platform run by Meta.
Its functions include:
- Up to 500 characters in a post
- Ability to add images and video (up to 5 mins)
- Login using existing Instagram profile
- A browser-based version
- Your Instagram handle reserved on the platform
- Verification status will carry across
- Anyone following you on Instagram will be able to automatically follow you on Threads – so it should provide an embedded audience
- Moderation settings will carry over from your Instagram account
