Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation are set to host a night to reminisce with Salop legend Graham Turner on Friday 18th August at 7pm.
Hosted by broadcaster Stuart Dunn, the evening will be a chance to reflect on Graham's highlights from his career as both player and manager and the imprint he has left on Shrewsbury Town FC. In addition to this Graham will be joined by special guests from the 1978-1979 season.
Every ticket purchased will go to support the foundation with its mission to engage, inspire and strengthen the local community through the power of sport.
Milly Wheeler, Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, said:
"We hope that the night is a way for the Foundation to bring some nostalgia to fans and an opportunity to recognise Graham's anniversary of joining Shrewsbury Town back in 1973.
"Events like this enable the foundation to raise funds helping us to reach out to more of the local community. We can't wait!"
Supporter Liasion Officer Roger Groves said:
"The imprint Graham has put on our football club is massive and this event is a great opportunity to look back at our most memorable season under Graham’s leadership and to meet and hear from some of the 78/79 squad that won the League that season.
"It’s a chance for us as supporters to hear some of the stories from his time as player and manager and for us to recognise and acknowledge a true legend of our football club."
