Shrewsbury Town will take on Forest Green Rovers and Walsall in the EFL Trophy as well as Brighton and Hove Albion's U21s.
Town have been drawn in Group A of the southern section of the competition with the first round of fixtures set to take place on either September 4 or 5.
We will face Forest Green Rovers who were relegated from League One last season.
We will also take on local rivals Walsall, who are now managed by former Shrewsbury defender Mat Sadler.
The fourth team in the group will be Brighton and Hove Albion U21s, who finished sixth in Premier League 2 in 2022/23 and were drawn into group A this morning.
