Staff in Smithy’s Bar have a brand new uniform thanks to Funding Space, a Shrewsbury-based organisation which helps businesses obtain funding.
Richard Canfer Taylor, CEO of Funding Space, is a devoted Town fan and has been sponsoring the club in some capacity since 2009.
And following a meeting with hospitality manager Max Senatore, he decided to sponsor the new uniform that will be worn by staff in the popular Smithy’s Bar.
“If there is anything I can do to support the club I will try and do it,” Richard said.
“I think it’s so important we do what we can to support the team – both on and off the pitch – especially where the community is concerned.
“The more we can help out the better so when Max presented us with this opportunity it made perfect sense.
“I’m a massive Shrewsbury fan, I have been for the best part of 25 years and have been sponsoring the club in some capacity since about 2009.
“We do it because we genuinely want to support the club and help out in any way we can.”
Funding Space are the latest local business to throw their support behind Shrewsbury Town this season.
Earlier this month we announced that Croud, a Shrewsbury-founded global digital marketing agency, will be our stadium sponsor for the next two years.
Fifth-generation Shrewsbury firm Morris Property are also our new front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2023/24 campaign.
