The centre-back played a vital role in each of Town's five games in February at both ends of the pitch.
Chey, the centre-point of Town's defence, contributed a thumping goal and a battling assist in Town's important 3-2 victory over Port Vale on February 10 as he helped his side extend their winning run to six games.
In our other four matches in February, Chey helped us keep three clean sheets as his presence and ability ensured the continuation of our fantastic run of results in 2023.
Chey also won the Shrewsbury Town Goal of the Month award for his strike against Port Vale.
The other nominees are Bolton Wanderers' Richardo Santos, Derby County's David McGoldrick and Barnsley's Jordan Williams.
Chey becomes the second Salop player to be nominated for the award in 2023 after captain Luke Leahy won the accolade in January.
