Shrewsbury Town travel to the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday night to take on Peterborough United in the Sky Bet League One. Kick-off is at 7:45pm.
Salop produced a second-half comeback to draw 2-2 at Pride Park on Saturday. Derby had taken the lead through Haydon Roberts and David McGoldrick in the first half. However, Tom Bayliss reduced the deficit to one just four minutes after the restart before Luke Leahy’s penalty made it 2-2.
Peterborough fell to a 1-0 defeat in their match away at Sheffield Wednesday. A Nathan Thompson own goal in the 60th minute was enough to separate the sides.
There have been 59 meetings between Shrewsbury and Peterborough, with Salop winning 21 of those, losing 20 and drawing 18. Most recently, the sides met in the FA Cup Second Round back in November. Salop won 3-1 at Montgomery Waters Meadow to progress into the third round of the tournament. Before this, they last met in League One in January 2021 - with Shrewsbury winning 2-0 at home.
