Shrewsbury Town will travel to the LNER Stadium this Sunday to take on Lincoln City in the final game of the season. Kick-off is at 12pm.
Salop secured a 2-1 win over Bristol Rovers at Montgomery Waters Meadow on Tuesday night. Luke Leahy scored after just three minutes before Rob Street made it two in the 53rd minute. Josh Coburn did pull one back for the visitors, but Town held on for all three points.
Lincoln’s last outing ended in a 3-2 defeat away at Morecambe last Saturday. The Imps were 1-0 ahead before the break courtesy of a goal from Lasse Sorensen. They then doubled their lead just minutes after the interval through Matty Virtue. However, Morecambe replied in the 50th minute when Cole Stockton pulled one back for his side. They would then equalise through Oumar Niasse before another goal from Stockton secured all three points for the home side.
There have been 52 meetings between Salop and the Imps, with Shrewsbury winning 22 of those, drawing 12 and losing 18. In the reverse fixture, Town were 2-0 winners at Montgomery Waters Meadow in December last year.
