Shrewsbury Town are delighted to confirm the appointment of Micky Moore as our new director of football.
A highly respected figure in the game, Micky has accepted the role despite competition from other clubs.
During his time with Cheltenham Town, Micky helped the club secure their first EFL title. They also enjoyed successful FA Cup runs and secured their highest-ever finish in League One.
As well as those achievements on the pitch, Micky was instrumental in carving out a sustainable business model at Whaddon Road that has seen him sell a number of players for significant fees.
Along with recruitment, his role at Cheltenham saw him negotiate player contracts and oversee the scouting of players.
He first joined Cheltenham as head of recruitment in September 2018 before being promoted to the role of director of football in February 2020.
Micky will form part of the new senior management structure at Shrewsbury Town that has seen Duncan Montgomery appointed as director of finance, Peter Brophy as chief operating officer (COO) and Jamie Edwards as chief business development officer.
