Shrewsbury Town are pleased to confirm the first meeting of our new fan engagement panel will take place on Tuesday, November 21.
The group has been put together by chief executive Liam Dooley as well as supporter liaison officers Roger Groves and Mike Davis.
Its aim is to ensure all fan groups have a say in how the club is run and how we can move forward.
A statement from Roger Groves and Mike Davis said:
Following on from a very positive initial chat with the chairman and new CEO Liam Dooley, we are pleased to announce the first fan engagement panel will be held later this month.
The initial meeting is designed to welcome Liam to Shrewsbury Town and allow all the represented groups to hear his plans and have an input into the future of the club.
Those invited for the first meeting are reps from all aspects of the clubs fanbase, including the supporters groups, social media platforms and away travel, as well as our Her Game Too rep, LQBTQ group, foundation and women’s team.
As this is the first meeting, we have worked with the club to assemble this group as a working party for now, but this is not set in stone for future meetings and this group may change as we move forward and evolve over time to ensure the meetings are as engaging and productive as possible.
As SLO’s we know our strength lies in our fanbase, together we are a stronger club when we are all pulling in the same direction.
The outcome of this meeting will essentially put in place a road map for supporter dialogue and representation going forward and shape how we as supporters can feel involved in the club, we all love.
Following on from this we will soon be able to announce the date for the first open Supporters Parliament meeting, these meeting are open to all.
