Her Game Too Banner Stolen

25 November 2023

Shrewsbury Town are extremely disappointed to report that on Wednesday November, 15, at 03:42am, our Her Game Too banner was stolen from inside the Croud Meadow.

The club has CCTV evidence to show the perpetrator removing the banner and walking away from the ground with the banner in hand and is actively seeking to identify those responsible.

Lauren Edwards, STFC HerGameToo Ambassador said: "For two years I have been working as Her Game Too ambassador at Shrewsbury Town Football Club to raise awareness and promote an inclusive attitude towards women attending football and to have the opportunity to play, support and give their views without fear of prejudice and misogyny.

“Being involved in this fabulous growing community is something that I am immensely proud of.

“This feels like an attack on everything I, my advocates and all Her Game Too ambassadors are trying to work for, potentially by one of my fellow fans who I share the same terraces with each week.”

The banner was kindly purchased by fellow STFC fan, Helen Hall, and has been displayed at the back of Block 18 ever since.

Anyone found to have committed this offence shall be subject to a stadium ban and be reported to the Police.

If there is anyone out there with information please contact the club at info@shrewsburytown.co.uk or call 01743 289177.

As part of the same investigation, the club are also investigating a missing banner belonging to Proud Salopians.
