Shrewsbury Town are pleased to announce Andrew Crane has been appointed the club’s new head of finance.
The 36-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the Croud Meadow having worked for Salop Leisure for 16 years and also Besblock.
A boyhood Town fan, Andrew is a chartered certified accountant and comes from a family of strong Salop ties – with his nan Joan Fox having been assistant secretary here for more than 40 years.
On joining the club, Andrew said: “The chance to work for the club you support doesn’t come around very often so I was delighted to accept this role and I want to thank the chairman for giving me this opportunity.
“My family has strong ties to the club with my nan having been assistant club secretary at the old Gay Meadow for 42 years, while my grandad Roy Fox was an electrician for the club and would switch on the floodlights at the old ground.
“I’ve also got two young boys who both came to their first Town game at the Croud Meadow this season.
“Hopefully, my knowledge and experience will help take the club forward. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the role and helping the club in any way I can.”
