Shrewsbury Town are pleased to announce we have signed talented wing-back Brandon Fleming on loan from Hull City.
The 23-year-old, who will be in the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Carlisle, arrives at the club having previously enjoyed successful loan spells with Bolton and Oxford.
With 28 Championship appearances and 27 League One appearances under his belt, Brandon is our first deadline day signing of 2023.
An attack-minded wing-back, Brandon will now compete with Mal Benning for a starting spot after Jordan Shipley was ruled out for three months with the knee injury sustained at Fleetwood.
Head coach Matt Taylor said:
“I spoke yesterday during my press conference that the recruitment strategy had changed due to injuries in the squad so we’re really pleased to sign a player of Brandon’s experience.
“He’s an attack-minded left wing-back with experience of both the Championship and League One.
“He was on loan at Oxford last season and adds quality and competition to our squad.
“We’re really excited to work with him and are looking forward to having him involved at Carlisle tomorrow.”
