The Oddballs Foundation visit Shrewsbury Town to share important message about testicular cancer

4 March 2024

Shrewsbury players and staff were taught how to recognise the signs of testicular cancer at a talk organised by the Oddballs Foundation.

The engaging talk was delivered by Ollie Morris - an Oddballs student ambassador - who is currently studying at Birmingham University.

Ollie spoke to Town's players about how to check themselves for signs of testicular cancer, which is the most prominent form of cancer found in males aged 15-49 years.

The OddBalls Foundation was founded in 2015 and is closely associated with the colourful underwear brand OddBalls.

Someone is diagnosed with testicular cancer every hour in the UK, but if detected early, it is curable in over 90 per cent of cases.

The foundation’s university ambassadors deliver talks on testicular cancer to remind boys and men to check their testicles and to remove any stigma and embarrassment surrounding the disease.
