Shrewsbury Town would like to pay its respects to former defender Paul Bevan who passed away recently aged 71.
A former Meole Brace school pupil, Paul was signed as a professional by Town on his 18th birthday by manager Harry Gregg in 1970.
A talented centre-back, he went on to make more than 70 appearances in blue and amber with his all-action displays making him popular with supporters.
Paul followed Harry Gregg to Swansea and then linked up with his manager again at Crewe where he played more than 170 games.
Paul was a loving and devoted dad to Rachel, Mark and Lisa, and grandad to Emily, Isabelle, Adam, William, James and Freddie.
