Shrewsbury Town launch The Youth Voice

7 March 2024

Young people aged 12-17 will now be able to help shape the future of Shrewsbury Town following the launch of The Youth Voice.

The new committee aims to encourage young supporters to tell us how they want to see the football club progress - with their input being shared at meetings of the Fan Engagement Panel and Supporters' Parliament.

As part of new funding provided by the Premier League Fans Fund, our fan engagement officer will lead on supporting this project - with the aim of engaging more diverse and underrepresented groups.

By becoming a youth voice representative, you will not only get to shape the future of the club but also develop a range of skills that will support you in the future.

The Youth Voice initiative is designed to be inclusive and accessible to children from all backgrounds.

Whether you are an avid match-goer, an aspiring footballer, or a dedicated supporter from afar, every young fan with an interest is encouraged to get involved!

Liam Dooley, chief executive at Shrewsbury Town, said: “It’s really exciting to be able to start a new initiative where kids are at the heart of it.

"Shrewsbury Town is a family club, and having a space where young fans can actively contribute to shaping their matchday experience is going to be amazing.”

From the start of The Youth Voice program, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities and initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue, creativity, and teamwork.

From idea-sharing sessions and focus groups to special events and fan engagement campaigns, young fans will be at the forefront of driving positive change within the club.

If you know a young Salopian who you think would like to get involved, you can register their interest here:
