Shelis joined Town’s Academy at the back end of the 2016/17 season.
The Cypriot youth international had spent time with Arsenal and Grimsby Town before moving to Shrewsbury.
A centre-half by trade, Shelis is also capable of playing right-back and featured regularly in the 2017/18 pre-season.
He made his professional debut in the Checkatrade Trophy against West Bromwich Albion Under-21s in 2017, whilst he was still a scholar.
He was awarded his first pro contract just 24-hours prior to that debut and is seen as a high hope for the future.
