Lenell John-Lewis joined Town on a one-year deal with the option of a second after his contract with Newport County came to an end.
It brought to an end a torrid couple of seasons with the Exiles, which saw him suffer a serious knee injury.
Prior to that John-Lewis had played under Town boss Paul Hurst at Grimsby, in what has been his most potent spell to date scoring 30 goals in 111 appearances for the Mariners.
He had previously experienced League One football with Bury, for whom he made nearly 100 appearances after joining them from Lincoln City.
Lenny broke the club record for the number of appearances as a substitute in one season (44) during the 2017/18 season and was awarded a new one-year deal.
