One of Paul Hurst's main targets in the summer of 2017, Jon Nolan signed a three year deal with the club after joining on an undisclosed fee from Chesterfield

Nolan had previously played under Hurst at Grimsby Town scoring four times in 18 appearances as they won promotion from the National League.

After gaining promotion Nolan moved to Chesterfield where he 30 appearances in League One last season.

Only 25, Jon started his career as a scholar at Everton before joining Stockport County.

From there he moved to Lincoln City where he stayed for three seasons, making over 70 appearances and also spending a short loan spell with Wrexham.

Known for his wide range of passing, Nolan is capable of playing on the wing, but it is through the middle that he has made his biggest impression.
