Shrewsbury Town announced the signing of Jordan Shipley from Coventry City for an undisclosed fee in May 2022.
The midfielder signed a three-year deal at Montgomery Waters Meadow. He has experience playing as a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder, and a left-midfielder and becomes Steve Cotterill's first signing ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Shipley spent his entire career with the Sky Blues - a club he joined at the age of seven. He progressed through the youth system and academy at Coventry and went on to make 162 first-team appearances for the club.
He made his professional debut at the back end of the 2016/17 season when he came on as a substitute in a 1-0 win over Walsall. He also scored for the Sky Blues at Wembley in their League Two play-off final victory against Exeter City in 2018.
Shipley made ten Championship appearances last season and scored one goal. He also played regularly with Marko Marosi at Coventry City during the 2020/21 season.
He has also appeared for the Republic of Ireland's Under-21s on two occasions.
