Energetic midfielder Laurent was one of John Askey’s main targets in the summer of 2018 and he finally got the deal over the line in late July.
He joined for an undisclosed fee from League One Champions Wigan Athletic and signed a two-year deal with Town.
Laurent had joined Wigan in February 2017, but featured just four times for the Latics during his 18-months there, spending much of the 2017/18 season on-loan at Bury.
Born in Leytonstone, Josh came through the ranks at QPR and has also had spells with Brentford and Hartlepool United.
