Leanne started her football career at Shawbury United in 1997 and was the only girl in the boys' team as there were no girls' teams/leagues.
Scouted for Wolves aged 11, Leanne juggled Wolves' academy, Shropshire County and being captain of Wem Town in her early teens.
Leanne became captain of Wolves U16s and then progressed into the women’s team, spending 10 years with the club between 2003/04 and 2013/14.
Having retired to focus on her career but after a seven-year break, Leanne joined Shrewsbury Town for the 2021/22 season, admitting she simply missed playing.
Leanne is a defensive player, known for her organisation, communication and strength.
