Junior Brown On Swindon Town Clash

18 December 2015

Midfielder Believes Swindon Is Start Of Important Run

"No I don’t think there is.

"We go into every game aiming to win, it’s one of those things.

"You look at each and every game, they’re all different, they’re all individual.

"But in this period of time it’s just key that we stay positive and we go into every game with the most positive attitude we can have and get the rewards."

When asked if there was a target of points to gain over the Christmas period, he added:

"It’s an important game, they’re scrapping as other teams are and as we are, and it’s going to be a difficult game," he said.

"If we can start the game right and if we move the ball in the way I know we can I think that, especially being at home with the crowd behind us, we can get a reward and hopefully get three points.

"With the fixtures coming thick and fast and them all being in and around us it’s a vital time.

"If you can pick up points in this key period it can have a dramatic effect on where you sit come the end of January.

"It’s a vital time and we’ve got to make the most of it and we’ve got to grind through it."

And Brown says picking up points from these fixtures could be crucial.

Games against Fleetwood, Crewe and Chesterfield, who are all in the bottom half of the league standings, follow for Micky Mellon's side.

Town host the Robins at Greenhous Meadow in Sky Bet League 1 at the weekend (3pm kick-off with the visitors 16th in the table and three points ahead of Shrewsbury.

Midfielder Junior Brown believes Swindon Town's visit on Saturday is the start of an important run of fixtures for Shrewsbury Town.
