Junior Membership team reflect on work so far and what the future holds
The Junior membership team have been reflecting on the hard work that has been going on so far this season and plans to make it better moving forward.There is currently 240 Junior members signed up, which was helped by a positive day of recruitment at the Open Day in July.
Since then we have opened up the Family Fan Zone which is exclusive for Junior Members and their families. In the Fan Zone we have fun competitions, Playstation 4 tournaments on the big screen, Smoothie Bike, Skillz’ Challenges, visits from Players, visits from Lenny, face painting, refreshments and plenty of prizes.
We have also held our Halloween/Guy Fawkes party at the Fan Zone and Heidi Brown, UK Open Mic winner, has performed for us too. We have also provided our members with the opportunity to become the mascot at games and we feel this is connecting our fans with all the work going on with our Community workforce.
The team has partnered up with local businesses such as AMF Bowling, Drummond Canoe and George Anthony barbers. We have also sealed a great partnership with Topps Direct – producers of Match Attax cards, which means that every Fan Zone, members receive packs of the Match Attax cards when they arrive.
Plans to move forward are in place. The Junior Members Christmas party will be taking place at the Community Hub on Tuesday 20th December. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Monday 10th April 2017 and there will also be an event for Junior Members player of the Year to be held on Thursday 13th April 2017.
The Junior Membership team have been taking advice on board throughout the season and are working hard to make the membership as successful as possible. We will be working with the first team over the next few weeks to produce the Birthday messages as promised and are planning to do 'Mini Me' sessions with players and staff in due course.
There is also a December sign up special offer of £5 for Junior shrews and One Town memberships. With a special Christmas message from the players as part of their sign up fee.
