Shrewsbury Town have joined forces with Shropshire Council and Tuffins Supermarket to support children who receive free school meals this Christmas.
The Holiday, Activity and Food Programme (HAF) is in operation in both Shrewsbury and Ludlow and aims to provide youngsters with free activites and food throughout the school break.
Funded by Shropshire Council, the HAF programme allows children in receipt of free school meals in the county to gain access to multi-sport activities while they also receive a hot nutritious meal each day.
With Christmas around the corner, Shrewsbury Town wanted to go the extra mile for these families at a time which is celebrated by many but can be a tough financially.
Continuing our partnership with Tuffins Supermarket, the club will be providing a Christmas hamper at the end of the programme that each child can take home for their family.
The hamper will contain everything families need for a Christmas dinner, without the turkey.
We are also asking our Shrewsbury Town family to come together this Christmas and donate gifts so that the children can pick, wrap, and gift their loved ones a present.

Whether it’s a gift set or some chocolate - any and all donations are very much appreciated and will help to make someone’s Christmas extra special.
Donations can be dropped off at the Foundation Building at Montgomery Waters Meadow or in the club reception.
Even the smallest donation can help make the biggest smiles.
